The following works represent my earlier approach, as well as the foundations that shaped my art practice. Having been trained as a painter, I spent many years working with traditional techniques and producing work that was mostly expressionist and abstract. In contrast, my current work is exploring a narrative driven, socially charged, and contemporary approach to artmaking. This change was spurred after attending an intensive contemporary art course that critically re-examined global art histories.
